A fun filled flight to a remote atoll turns into a nightmare for five passengers when their seaplane is destroyed in a freak accident and they are trapped on a raft, 100 miles from shore with man-eating sharks lurking beneath the surface.

Bouncing back up to Queensland to film off the coast of Brisbane, Great White rounds off Mesh Digitals epic run of Australian films for 2019. This 7 week shoot again featured a lot of water work and beach locations, so following on from what we had covered on earlier projects, we provided a lite weight and versatile 2 camera video assist package with streaming to iOS devices and hand held monitors.

Michael Boughen (Tomorrow, When The War Began, Killer Elite, The Loved Ones) wrote the script, while commercial director Martin Wilson will make his feature directing debut. Great White is set in coastal northern Australia, CHARLIE, a seaplane pilot, along with his girlfriend KAZ, own a struggling air charter company. Their fortunes change when they receive a last-minute booking from a wealthy businessman JOJI and his wife MICHELLE. But what should have been a fun-filled trip to remember, soon takes a sinister turn when they discover an upturned boat in the middle of the ocean. When Charlie lands the seaplane close to the wreck looking for survivors, it is obvious that something terrible has happened here. When their seaplane is destroyed in a freak accident, the group are left trapped on a life raft 100 miles from the shore. What follows is a desperate bid for survival as the group try to make it to dry land before they run out of supplies or are taken by the man-eating sharks lurking just beneath the surface.
